Limes like lemons are very good cleansers for the liver.
A drink made with ½ the juice of a lime in a little warm water first thing in the morning before you drink or eat anything else. Do this every other day, for about 90 days. Limes like lemons can kick-start the metabolism and are alkaline forming in the body. Use fresh lemon or lime as often as possible in salad dressings or marinades. See also Lemon.
It’s amazing that you can cook (so to speak) fish with just lime or lemon juice when you think about it. The citric acid in limes, lemons and grapefruit, has the same effect on the protein in fish and other seafood as heat does! We all know the dish ceviche, very popular in Mexico, Central and South America. Just about any fish will do for ceviche, plus shrimp, clams, lobster, conch and squid (tenderized first).
2lb of fish sliced very thinly or sea food of your choice
2 cups of fresh lemon juice or lime juice (some people like to add vinegar ¼ cup vinegar and 1 ¾ lemon juice)
Very thinly sliced onion or several sliced spring onions,
1 crushed garlic clove,
salt and pepper to taste
Most ceviche recipes call for hot chilli pepper – 1 or 2 fresh chopped or hot cayenne peppers.
You could substitute chilli with freshly grated ginger.
Finally, 2 tablespoons of chopped cilantro
Place all the ingredients together and put in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours.

Taking plenty of lemon or lime juice helps to stimulate the liver to produce bile, anything that helps the liver, encourages a better detox, this, in turn, helps conditions like arthritis. So every time you go to grab the vinegar bottle think about adding fresh lemon or lime instead.
